Approach

Analyzing financial dataApproach is fairly straight forward; try to make our clients as comfortable as possible, listening and understanding my client needs and providing professional solutions that make sense.
Too many advisors spend a lot of time talking, but are short on patience and listening skills. I want my clients to know that I am here to listen and provide straightforward confidential advice that fits their particular situation.

Our First Meetings usually revolve around 2 objectives;

1. Getting to know and feel comfortable with each other. If you for whatever reason do not have a rapport or feel comfortable with your advisor, you need to rethink the relationship
2. Fact finding for me to understand your needs, whether it be a simple RRSP contribution, mortgage insurance, or a retirement plan, I need to know a little about you and your financial situation. On the main page of my website you will find a link called “8 Questions” which will walk you through the beginnings of our fact finding.

The next steps center on solutions and implementation or decision time.

3. Recommendations tailor made to your needs. Whether it be a particular investment or portfolio recommendation, disability insurance quote, or retirement plan, the recommendations are tailored to your specific needs and investor’s profile. I always try to keep the summary recommendations to a one page executive synopsis, with back up data separate.

4. Decision Time belongs to you and your family, privately if need be. Meaning to say that I do not believe in selling my clients a product or service they are not ready for. When someone asks for my services and I provide a recommendation or solution, I understand that most people will want to review it and maybe speak with their spouse. I will lay out the various options and help my client to understand and make an informed decision.
